We were instructed by a small asbestos removals company to assist them in recovering numerous outstanding invoices that were overdue. We reviewed their documentation including terms and conditions of sale in the first instance to check their entitlement to interest and compensation. This enabled us to suggest some rewrites to this documentation to better cover the company going forward.
We then sent letters to each of the outstanding accounts which led to immediate payments in many of the circumstances. Where we were unable to recover the outstanding debt, we provided advice on how to proceed to the County Court and also assisted the company in issuing Court proceedings to recover the money.
We were contacted by a small stocking manufacturer who was looking for some support with their accounts. They needed bank reconciliation and allowed us access to their SAGE accounting system. They provided us with regular weekly bank statements so that we could accurately record their banking transactions on their accounting system. They further asked that we support them with keeping track of expenses. This meant liaising with their current team of employees to collate receipts and documentation and accurately recording this for them.
The private sector training company above also did not have a current and compliant Health and Safety Policy in place. We therefore conducted risk assessments on their behalf with their employees, wrote the company’s main Health and Safety Policy and produced a Health and Safety Handbook for all employees which contained all information surrounding Health and Safety and any policies that were necessary to be communicated.
We were contacted by a private sector training company who had 5 employees but were anticipating immediate growth. We were asked to assist them in interviewing and onboarding new employees. We conducted a review and realised quickly that they did not have the necessary contractual documentation in place for the current or future employees. We therefore wrote a handbook of policies, contracts of employment and set up a system to enable calculation and monitoring of absences, sickness and annual leave. The client then asked us to remain in place for 6 months and provide HR support to them and to their employees to ensure their compliance within the period of growth.
